Similar to the “What is CRM?” segments written by industry leaders in the last edition, this chapter will be the “traditional” and new leaders take on the changes that have gone on in the industry. These will be done exclusively for the book. I’ve chosen several leaders – Joe Pine 2 – author of “The Experience Economy”; Marc Benioff, CEO/President Salesforce.com; Ginger Conlon, editor in chief of 1to1 media,; Zach Nelson, CEO of NetSuite, Anthony Lyle, SVP of Oracle CRM, Bruce Culbert, founding partner of BPT Partners, LLC and the former SVP & GM of BearingPoint's CRM & Supply Chain practice, William McDermott, President of SAP Americas, Kim Kobza, CEO of Neighborhood America – an enterprise social networking technology company; Denis Pombriant, Beagle Research – one of the most prominent analysts in CRM and Bill Band, Principal CRM Analyst for Forrester Research. There isn't a lot to contribute to this chapter but feel free to suggest other possible authors.
